Bysael Martínez Ocasio is the youngest brother of Puerto Rican music star Bad Bunny. He was born in 2002 and, unlike his two older brothers, did not enter the creative world. He built his path in sports instead. Many readers search for his name after seeing him beside his famous brother at big events. This biography explains what is publicly confirmed, what is unclear, and which popular claims online you should not trust.

Who Is Bysael Martínez Ocasio?
Bysael is the third and youngest son in the family. Bad Bunny was born in 1994, followed by Bernie in 1997 and Bysael in 2002. All three were raised in Puerto Rico by their parents. He is not a singer or rapper. His public story is about sports, family, and, more recently, a small fashion project.
This matters because some websites describe him as a musician or an artist. Those claims do not appear in reliable coverage, and I explain more below.
Bysael Martínez Ocasio’s Early Life and Family
The brothers grew up in a rural area of Vega Baja, outside San Juan. Their father was a truck driver and their mother taught English at a school. Both parents are devout Catholics. Bad Bunny has said in interviews that his parents worked hard to give their children everything they needed. He also said his childhood was very happy.
Bad Bunny has also said he stays close to his family. He told GQ in 2022 that he keeps the same circle of people around him and stays in contact with his family even when he cannot see them. That helps explain why Bysael appears at key moments in his brother’s career, even though he stays mostly private.
Birth Date and Age: What Is Confirmed?
This is where many articles go wrong. Major outlets such as People and Hello only confirm the birth year, 2002. Several smaller sites give a specific date, usually March 4, 2002. Others give completely different dates, such as 1995 or 2000, and even different cities. Some say he was born in the United States, while others say Puerto Rico.
Because these sources disagree and do not name proof, I treat the exact birthday and birthplace as unconfirmed. What we can safely say is that he was born in 2002 and grew up in Puerto Rico.
Education and Baseball Journey
Baseball is the clearest thread in Bysael’s life story. He graduated in 2020 from the Carlos Beltrán Baseball Academy, a sports-focused school in Florida. The school later shared that he had been accepted to a university in New York City, and he appeared on its varsity baseball roster as of 2021.
Two small details are worth clearing up:
- The school’s location. Some pages just write “Florida,” which makes readers think of the U.S. state. Other sources place the academy in Florida, Puerto Rico. Readers should not assume without checking.
- The college name. One outlet calls it Monroe University, while others say Monroe College. Both point to a school in New York. Another source says he was on the junior varsity team, while Hello says varsity. I could not settle this from the sources I found.
There is also no reliable confirmation that he became a professional baseball player. A few sites suggest it, but I found no team announcement or official record. It is better to describe him as a former academy and college-level player.
Bysael Martínez Ocasio’s Career and BMO Brand
Since Bysael has no known music career, his “career” is best described as a mix of sports and small business. In August 2025, he shared that he had released a capsule collection under his own brand, BMO. This follows his brothers’ interest in fashion. His brother Bernie works as a model and has walked for designers such as Willy Chavarria.
I found no detailed sales information, company records, or interviews about how large BMO is. So I will not guess about its size or success.
Public Appearances With Bad Bunny
Bysael rarely gives interviews, but he does show up for major family moments. He and Bernie stood with Bad Bunny backstage at the 2021 Billboard Music Awards in Los Angeles. Bad Bunny has also said both of his brothers have joined him on tour. Before Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl halftime show in February 2026, People reported that his brothers would be cheering him on.
Personal Life and Privacy
Bysael keeps his personal life quiet. He does post on social media, mostly showing moments from his brother’s concerts and his own projects. Fans often say he looks like Bad Bunny, but that is only an observation from photos, not a career detail.
Some websites try to describe his relationships or private opinions from Instagram posts. I left all of that out. It is guesswork about a private person, and it does not meet the standard of confirmed information.
Latest News in 2026
Bysael has not been in major headline news this year. His name mostly comes up in stories about his brothers. In July 2026, Yahoo reported that Bernie joined Bad Bunny at the Schiaparelli show during Paris Haute Couture Week. It described the family as mostly out of the spotlight. I found no verified 2026 announcement from Bysael about a new job, team, or business.
Claims You Should Not Trust
While researching, I found pages that say Bysael is an art-school graduate from the University of Puerto Rico, or a Latin music singer who released an EP in 2019. Those pages also disagree on his birth date and city. They read like automated or unsourced content and match nothing in People, Hello, or other established coverage. I did not use them.

How This Was Researched
I reviewed recent coverage from People, AOL, Hello, and Yahoo, plus Wikipedia’s entry for Bad Bunny, and compared them with several celebrity-wiki websites. Where these sources disagreed, mainly on his birth date, birthplace, college, and career, I said so instead of choosing one. This article tries to fill a gap by separating verified facts from the many unsupported claims that appear online.
